Jennifer was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. She attended West Texas A&M for her undergraduate work and later graduated with her Masters in Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in 2000. She has always had a strong love of animals and even debated about becoming a veterinarian vs. a physical therapist. Over the years as a physical therapist, she has worked in multiple settings but primarily in home health/mobile outpatient with pediatric and geriatric clients. In 2020, just months prior to the COVID outbreak, Jennifer decided to finally pull the trigger and combine her passion for animals and her knowledge in Physical Therapy. She began pursuing her certification in canine rehabilitation at the Canine Rehab Institute and completed her certification in 2021. Through her experience as a home health and mobile outpatient therapist, she realized that many animals were missing the benefits of canine rehabilitation due to the same reasons as their human counterparts - pet owner’s busy schedules, difficulty with transportation and/or a decline in the pet’s mobility making travel difficult. She started Cooper Animal Rehab and Wellness in 2021. Rehabilitation sessions are currently primarily mobile being performed in the client’s own home. She also offers sessions to be performed at her own home clinic as well.
